OUR PROCESS
Step One (Site Analysis)
Our process begins with an initial consultation and site visit. We can discuss your dream landscape, and how we can bring that to life.
Important details will be collected during this initial visit like your desired vision for your property, inspirational photos and how you envision using the site.
I will then collect site photos, basic measurements if needed, and analyze the property for exiting use patterns, opportunities, constraints, and explore things like slope, water movement, maintenance requirements and your overall style to give me an idea about where the design could go.
Step Two (Site Design)
An initial scope and fee document will be developed. Once agreed upon, I will crack into the schematic level of design. This involves lots of trace paper and color markers (read, big kid color time!) to bring some ideas to the table for consideration.
Typical workflow involves developing one to two rough alternatives for consideration. I am able to consult on new builds, full redesigns, or even just a new planting plan if you’re the DIY type.
The landscape design alternatives will be accompanied with a project specific design guide. These design guides are bound leave behinds that allow you to see precedent images of plants, hardscape materials, and outdoor living space design ideas that help you connect with the overall vision for the site.
This book becomes our design guide for your site. These are unique to the project and center “you” the client in your new landscape.
Step Three
After approval of the concept design, we move into final design and then construction documentation. These documents allow you see your design come to life.
Statice can work directly with your selected landscape contractor, or can also help you find qualified landscape installers to make sure we build out your dream landscape.
Sean will visit the site several times throughout the build out process, and will be there to review site furniture, plant delivery, and complete a full plant layout before installation to make sure everything is put in the right place.
